Story boarding of The Nightmare Before Christmas
A part in the making of The Nightmare Before Christmas that struck me most was the storyboarding. When they were making the film they were going off drawn pictures and a storyline by Tim Burton. To actually bring the story and stop motion movie to life they had to map and storyboard it before they even started animating. They drew images of every scene/frame, every action, every facial expression, every camera shot, and angle. The storyboard was their visual script of how everything should look and what comes next. I feel like the storyboarding was their road map for the entire movie.
Understanding Comics
What I liked about this page was how well the images matched with what he was explaining. For example, when he talked about how people explain comic books to narrowly and draws himself squished between walls. And vice versa, when he talks broader terms. It makes it so much more appealing when the images are consistent with the storyline.
